Hello, my name is Laura Rank, and I am the owner of Laura Rank Counseling, LLC. I offer individual therapy services and provide clinical supervision for counseling interns and post-graduate therapists seeking independent licensure. I am also available for professional consultation. I have experience working with clients from early childhood to late adulthood. I have worked in various settings, including community mental health, school-based counseling, higher education, and residential group care. My clinical areas of focus include trauma and resilience, anxiety, mood dysregulation, chronic illness, eating disorders, addiction, and dissociative disorders. I also have experience working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community and providing gender-affirming care.

I earned a BA in psychology from Loras College and an MS in mental health counseling from Capella University. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Capella University. My dissertation explores counseling faculty experiences in collaborative gatekeeping efforts with fieldwork site supervisors. 

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and an approved supervisor through the Iowa Board of Behavioral Sciences. Additionally, I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. I am taking steps to obtain the Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential. I welcome any questions, concerns, feedback, or inquiries.
